A Letter from Jesus

As you well know, we are getting closer to my birthday. The celebration of my birthday began many years ago. At first, people seemed to understand and be thankful for all that I had done for them, but today, no one seems to care anymore.
Family and friends get together and celebrate, but ignore the actual cause for the celebration. I remember last year when there was this great feast in my honour. The whole place was lit up with lights; there was a huge decorated Christmas tree and several beautifully wrapped gifts. The dining table was full of delicious foods, pastries, assorted nuts and chocolates. But, guess what? I wasn't invited. The party was in my honour and I wasn't even invited.
When the celebration started, I was left outside. I wanted to be with them but they did not even remember me. Anyway, I quietly entered the party and stood in a corner without disturbing anybody.
They were drinking, smoking, etc., and seemed to be having a great time in doing the things that they knew would hurt me. To top it all, a man dressed up as Santa Claus, entered the room yelling 'Ho-Ho-Ho'; and all the children went running to him, shouting: "Santa Claus, Santa Claus" as if the party were in his honour.
At midnight all the people began to wish each other and exchange gifts. While they opened their gifts with great joy, I looked to see if perhaps there was one for me; but there was none. How would you feel if on your birthday everybody got a gift, except you? I didn't even get a birthday song; instead they sang 'jingle bells', 'you better watch out' and 'Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer', songs which have nothing to do with me at all. I ended up leaving the party with my eyes filled with tears.
Every year it gets worse. Everyone remembers the gifts, the parties, the food and drinks, etc., but nobody remembers me. Everyone wishes each other, but nobody wishes me. Don't they know that I am alive and with them? Why do they treat me as though I did not rise from the dead?
This Christmas I would like you to realise that it was on this day, around two thousand years ago, that I left the comforts of my heavenly abode to come into this world and die on the cross in atonement for your sins, so that you could have eternal life. There 'is' an eternal life. Just because you feel that it is too good to be true, does not mean that it is not true. If there was no eternal life, then there was no need for me to come and die for your sins. I have paid a very heavy price for you to have this eternal life in heaven. Please don't waste it all. I don't want to lose you.
This Christmas if at all you would like to give me a birthday present then give me your love. Invite me into your life. All you have to do is say a prayer from the depth of your heart, asking me to be the Lord and Saviour of your life. Then leave everything to me, I will do the rest.
I will be waiting for your invitation.

Lots and lots of love,
Jesus.

St. Gertrude's Prayer for the Souls in Purgatory

Our Lord Jesus told St. Gertrude that 1000 souls would be released from purgatory each time the following prayer is said. This prayer was extended to also include living sinners as well.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

How to Pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy

The Chaplet of Mercy is recited using ordinary rosary beads of five decades.

Opening Prayers
You expired, Jesus,
but the source of life gushed forth for souls,
and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water,
which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us.
I trust in You!

Begin the chaplet with the Our Father, the Hail Mary and the Apostle's Creed:

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

The Apostle's Creed
I believe in God,
the Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and earth;
and in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, Our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified; died, and was buried.
He descended into Hell;
 the third day He arose again from the dead;
He ascended into Heaven,
sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Then, on the large bead before each decade:

Eternal Father,
I offer you the Body and Blood,
Soul and Divinity,
of Your Dearly Beloved Son,
Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins
and those of the whole world.

On the ten small beads of each decade, say:

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion,
have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Conclude with (Say 3 Times):
Holy God,
Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us
and on the whole world.

Closing Prayer
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless
and the treasury of compassion – inexhaustible,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent,
but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will,
which is Love and Mercy itself.

Our Lord said to Saint Faustyna:
Encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given you ... Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death ... When they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between my Father and the dying person, not as the Just Judge but as the Merciful Saviour ... Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from my infinite mercy. I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in my mercy ... Through the Chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will.

By your powerful intercession and assistance, may we follow the Gospel of Christ in our daily lives, in our families and in our communities, and know the help of your grace in every difficulty and hardship.
You were so compassionate towards those in misery and pain; make me also sensitive, so that like you I too may reach out to those sick, in misery and pain.
O Loving St.Anthony, be a source of joy to your people and obtain for me the favours and graces that I need to live my Christian life with fervour and charity
(PRAY FOR YOUR INTENTION)
But in all things may God's Holy will be done and everything for his greater glory.
Amen.

Pray for us St.Anthony.
Re: That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Novena to St.Anthony

O white lily of purity, sublime example of poverty, true mirror of humility, resplendent star of sanctity!
O glorious St. Anthony who didst enjoy the sweet privilege of receiving into thy arms the Infant Jesus,
I beseech thee to take me under thy powerful protection.
Thou, in whom the power of working miracles shines forth among the other gifts of god,
have pity upon me and come to my aid in this my great need.

(Make your petition.)

Cleanse my heart from every disorderly affection; obtain for me a true contrition for my sins,
and a great love of God and of my neighbour that, serving God faithfully in this life,
I may come to praise, enjoy, and bless Him eternally with thee in Paradise
Amen

Christmas and not Xmas

Very soon we shall be celebrating the blessed feast of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ - "Christmas".

Most of us, if not all, will be wishing each other and sending greeting cards, emails and sms texts to our near and dear ones.

It is a humble request, not to refer to Christmas as "Xmas". In the Scientific and Mathematical work, The "X" is equated to the “Unknown". It would be deemed unfit if not insulting to refer to Jesus Christ as the "Unknown". It will just take us 3 - 4 seconds more to write/type - "Christmas" instead of "Xmas"

Let us make room for "Christ" this Christmas. Pass on this simple message to others.

Have a Blessed Christmas.

God bless!!
